Scenic Texas is proud to lead the 1 Million Trees Across Texas Initiative—a comprehensive statewide program dedicated to advancing sustainable landscaping and tree planting in partnership with certified Scenic Cities across Texas. This transformative initiative focuses on Texas’ communities, working directly with recognized Scenic City leaders to strengthen both the natural and built environments while promoting long-term environmental stewardship and resilience.

Through this collaborative effort, Scenic Texas partners with certified Scenic Cities to implement strategic tree planting projects that enhance community character, expand native tree canopies, and preserve vital greenspaces. By increasing tree coverage in participating communities, the initiative supports healthier ecosystems, provides habitat for local wildlife, and fosters a stronger connection between residents and their natural surroundings.

This initiative reflects Scenic Texas’s commitment to supporting Scenic Cities as models of excellence in stewardship, helping them build more sustainable, resilient, and visually distinctive communities. By investing in tree planting today, we are working alongside local leaders to ensure a greener, more vibrant future for communities across the state.
